Douglas Alford brings more than a decade of tax and financial planning experience to his role as Tax Director of BridgePort Tax & Business Services. Douglas specializes in comprehensive tax strategy, estate and trust planning, and integrated financial consulting for individuals, business owners, and fiduciaries. His approach blends technical expertise with a deep understanding of each client’s personal and financial goals.

Before joining BridgePort, Douglas served as tax director and financial planner for several firms, where he managed multimillion-dollar client books, oversaw cross-functional tax teams, and guided clients through complex tax and estate planning decisions. He is a Certified Financial Planner^™ professional, Certified Private Wealth Advisor^®, Certified Tax Planner, and Enrolled Agent. Douglas also holds a Master of Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration from Malone University.

Margaret Kastner brings extensive experience in tax preparation, accounting, and client service to her role as Senior Tax Associate with BridgePort Tax & Business Services. She works with individuals and business owners on personal and business tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial reporting – with a focus on delivering responsive, personalized support.

Previously, Margaret spent five years as a staff accountant with Stephens & Lawson CPAs, where she worked closely with individuals on their complex tax returns and small business owners on bookkeeping, payroll, tax returns, and financial statements. Margaret has served as a tax expert with Intuit’s TurboTax Live and TurboTax Local programs, assisting clients nationwide with tax preparation, tax guidance, and filing support. As a previous small business owner, Margaret brings unique knowledge and perspective to small business owners.

Margaret successfully completed all three SEE exams required to become an Enrolled Agent and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Business Administration from Spalding University.

Lorie Bond

A dedicated professional with more than 15 years of combined experience in accounting and administrative support, Lorie Bond joined BridgePort Tax & Business Services in 2024. As a member of the tax team, she handles tax processing and oversees all aspects of accounts receivable, including closing out month-end books. Known for her ability to prioritize, Lorie is highly organized, detail-oriented, and also provides support to the BridgePort Financial Solutions team.

Outside the office, Lorie enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, going for walks, visiting the beach, and traveling.
